Samoa Trust Companies
The provision of services with the Samoa IFC is restricted to licenced trust companies. A company is not permitted to carry on business in Samoa as a trustee company unless it is registered pursuant to the provisions of the Samoa Trustee Companies Act 1987. Carrying on business as a trustee is widely defined and includes acting as trustee, executor or administrator, and the management of international companies.
The registration and supervision of trustee companies lies with the Central Bank of Samoa. Applicants must have a paid up capital of SAT$500,000 and provide evidence that they have comprehensive experience in the provision of trustee services.
